Torrent Tracker BTJUNKIE Has Ceased Operations

It’s been a big year for torrents, file sharing and censorship and after Fileserve and Filesonic voluntarily stopped the ability for users to continue using the site for file sharing, have literally just shut their site down.

BTjunkie’s founder has told popular bittorrent site TorrentFreak that “the legal actions against other file-sharing sites such as MegaUpload and The Pirate Bay played an important role in making the difficult decision. Witnessing all the trouble colleagues got into was cause for a lot of worry and stress, and those will now belong to the past.”

BTJunkie was the fifth largest torrenting site on the net, but sites like Mininova and TorrentSpy were also pretty damn huge and their shutdowns or “re-born again but legal” never phased the piracy industry.

This is what the policy making fat cats want, so let’s not give it to them!

In respect and honor to BTJunkie, download as much as you can from the remaining torrent sites!
