Germanwings Airbus A320 Plane Crashes in French Alps, All 148 People on Board Feared Dead

144 passengers and six crew are presumed dead after an Airbus A320 crashed in a remote region of the French Alps en route from Spain to Germany. Flight 4U 9525 disappeared from radar in the Alpes de Hautes Provence after apparently sending a distress signal at 10.47am local time (9.47am GMT). Jewish and Islamic Schools Given Millions of Dollars of Security in Australia Amidst Terrorist Fear

ISIS Speculation in Australia has now lead to several million dollars given to private security companies as part of a new package to protect Jewish and Islamic schools. The program will include $18 million in funding for 54 schools that have requested assistance to hire security guards and buy security products to safeguard students. The majority are in Western Sydney, with 29 of the 54 in NSW. The announcement comes after the Australian Federal Police called on teachers in November to be on the lookout for students who “may be vulnerable to being radicalised. “

New Australian IVAN MILAT Series Irritates Thousands Convinced We Should “Forget All About Him”

We shouldn’t even be giving them the publicity but yet again the irritatingly overly-sensitive have struck again with over 16000 signatures on the (mostly filled with pathetic petitions as if petitions work these days) website Change.org to prevent Australian TV from broadcasting a new documentary about notorious murderer Ivan Milat. The petition (with its description mirrored below) claims that Australia doesn’t need reminding of the murders. There are plenty of books and documentaries about Ivan, but apparently this one tips the politically sensitive over the edge. The Milat murders were one of the most horrendous crimes ever to occur in…

The Flaws of Western Feminism, Oppression and That Old Equal Pay Debate

The modern feminist is convinced that there’s never been an effort to give the women of Western society the same rights as the men – but here’s a challenge: What significant right do men have these days that women don’t?   At the 2015 Oscars, actress Patricia Arquette howled that we should do more to ensure equal pay in the United States for females. Entertainment sites have applauded this as the greatest moment of the Oscars and most powerful statement. Never mind the powerful cry out by Imitation Game scriber Graham Moore who urged those demonised by homosexuality and being…

Australia Resorts to Guilt and Threats Against Indonesia, Attempting to Spare Bali Nine Members From Execution.

For several weeks now the Australian government and media have constantly barraged headlines with opposition to the execution of two members of the Bali Nine, a group of convicted drug smugglers. Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan. The two were a part of nine people convicted of planning to smuggle 8.3 kg of heroin valued at about $4 million from Indonesia to Australia. Citing support for human rights (of which Australia really has nothing to be proud of), the Prime Minister and multiple politicians have now attempted to remind the Indonesian government of the aid that Australians provided during the aftermath…

Why Does Depicting Prophet Muhammad Annoy Some of the Muslims?

Jan 18, 2015

Why exactly do Muslims dislike the depiction of Prophet Muhammad? – a question we’re all asking ourselves a little more since the deadly attack on French magazine Charlie Hebdo. More-so, why are there certain Muslims blowing up over those who depict their Prophet (figuratively as well as literally). The attacks on Charlie Hebdo were inarguably far from common. Think back to September 2012 when the YouTube teaser for a film titled “Innocence of Muslims” caused global rioting, deaths and destruction. There is no verse in the Quran prohibiting people to record the Prophet’s image, Islam and Prophet Muhammad objected to…

Gamblers, Transgenders, Voyeurs and People With Fetishes May Be Unable to Hold Driver’s Licence in Russia in Effort to Crack Down on Road Accidents.

Jan 9, 2015

It’s a move that will surely raise criticism and controversy within the country but more so outside of it. The Russian government has released a legislative document which outlines a revised set of medical controls for drivers in an effort to cut down on the number of car accidents, listing sexual confusion, gender identity and fetishes. Although most of these new provisions refer to physical impairments that are entirely reasonable — terrible eyesight for example — the document mentions "gender identity disorders" including "transsexualism” and “dual-role transvestism” as well as “sadomasochism" and “exhibitionism" as concerns. Psychological issues such as "Pathological…

MMXIV: The Year in Review

Dec 27, 2014

2014 was a year marked by political turmoils, tragedy and innovation. In January, the unrest in Ukraine began with hundreds of protesters killed and injured after President Viktor Yanukovych abandoned signing a free-trade deal with the European Union. This led to the tense situations with the western world after Crimean parliament voted yes to joining Russia in February. In February, the still-dominating issue of Ebola virus epidemic in West Africa raised fears and concerns for those in the surrounding areas and later in parts of Europe and the United States. In March, the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, a Boeing 777…

Protests in Missouri After Teenage Black Man Shot Dead by Police

Dec 24, 2014

Violent protests have erupted again in the United States after yet another 18 year old black male was shot dead by police. St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar stated the officer was questioning the 18-year-old and another man about a theft late at a convenience store in Berkeley when the young man pulled a 9mm handgun on him. The officer stumbled backward but fired three shots, one of which struck the victim. Belmar declined to name the 18-year-old killed in Berkeley, but he has since been identified as Antonio Martin. Whilst the racism and profiling in this particular case…

Sydney Hostage Crisis Ends: The Event That Was a Convenience to the Australian Government?

Dec 15, 2014

With the 2014 Sydney Hostage Crisis over, leaving two hostages and the gunman dead, many questions are being raised – most, as should be expected, based on hysteria and shocked reactions against the Muslim community and the fact that “terrorism has arrived in Australia”. The gunman has been identified as Man Haron Monis. Police have yet to find connections between Haron and any international terrorist organisations. The incident has certainly shaped what was already a dark opinion on the Muslims in Australia, with many conservative politicians and ignorant residents firing out that this crisis would easily have been avoided if…

Police said shots were fired and as a result, the 50-year-old man was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital. Another man, aged 34, and a woman, aged 38, were pronounced dead after being taken to hospital. MH17 Boeing 777 Plane Crash, Ukraine (Jul 2014) (25)

“MH17 Shot Down by Ukraine, Mistaken for Putin’s Plane”

Dec 10, 2014

According to new reports, Malaysia Airlines MH17 was “accidentally shot down” by the Ukrainian air force in the hope that it was Vladimir Putin’s plane which was set to follow the same flight path. The reports stated that the Ukrainian air force Su-25 jet fighter was to shot down Putin’s official aircraft “Plane Number One”. Plane Number One’s was scheduled to fly over the rebel-controlled area on the day of the attack. It is alleged that the plane has an identical silhouette with the Boeing plane that was shot down. The military jet ended up downing the Malaysia Airlines flight…

Australian Retailers Pull GTA v From Shelves Thanks to Females Warning “It Promotes Sexual Violence”

Dec 4, 2014

Following customer complaints, a second major Australian retailer – KMart – has pulled Grand Theft Auto V from their shelves. This happens just days after major retailer Target did the same, citing the games’ violence against women. (of course, you can be violent against any sex in this game as you would have probably guessed) The game is R18+ which is the rating Australian gamers spent several years attempting to have recognized – whereas before any game that would reach R18 would automatically be refused classification – this intends that the game is only to be sold to adults. In an official statement,…

The West vs. the Rest: We’re Provoking War When We Should Be Avoiding It.

In-depth: The tensions between the United States and Russia have been overshadowing the Syrian Civil War. It was not long ago that America and its allies were voting on whether or not to intervene after the chemical weapons discovery was announced. The turbulence with the Ukrainian-Russian unrest has been the spotlight in prior weeks to the MH17 crash which was immediately blamed on Russian intelligence. The United States and Australia have both been vocal in condemning Russia for their alleged involvement in the crash with Prime Minister Tony Abbott claiming that this was “no accident” and saying Russia now challenged…

[IN-DEPTH] the 12 Counts Against Rolf Harris Explained and Revealed

By now you’ll probably know that entertainer Rolf Harris has been found guilty on 12 counts of indecent assault against four girls and young women. The media is referring to them as survivors. The critics are questioning the apparent amnesia. So what did Rolf Harris’ twelve (guilty) counts actually involve? COUNT ONE A woman alleged she was aged seven or eight when she stood in line to get an autograph from Harris at a community centre in Hampshire during 1968/1969. She claimed that Harris touched her “inappropriately” with his “big hairy hands”, she told the jury. (Harris later showed his…

[WEIRDMEAN] 1518 Dancing Plague: Where Hundreds Danced to Their Deaths

To begin with our new series of bizarre but true stories; we have the Dancing Plague of 1518. The Dancing Plague of 1518 occurred in Strasbourg, Alsace in July 1518 that involved hundreds of people who literally danced until they dropped. Several theories have been investigated into the strange occurrence with no definitive answer. According to the documents and archives relating to this truly bizarre and amazing event, people of all ages began to dance for days without rest, and, over the period of about one month, some of those affected died of exhaustion, heart attacks and heat strokes. It…
