Julian Assange Develops Chronic Lung Infection, Undergoes Treatment Within Embassy

8912895Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has developed a chronic lung infection and requires constant medical attention at his refuge in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London.

Mrs Ana Alban, Ecuador’s ambassador to Britain, made the comment to reporters in the Ecuadorean capital of Quito. Alban says Ecuador is covering his medical costs and  — despite the British authorities continuing to refuse safe passage – the embassy are keeping their pledge to protect Assange from extradition.
